Greetings! I'm Brandon Olsen, and I'm running for Fletcher Town Council. My priority is making our town more accountable, accessible, and responsive to the needs of all residents.
I've lived in Fletcher for more than 21 years, and in that time I've grown to love this community and the people who make it special. My family and I have lived primarily in the Hoopers Creek area, and like many of you, we've built our lives here, raising kids, building friendships, and putting down roots.
My wife, Holly, and I began our life together here in Fletcher, where we've raised our three children: Natalie, Hunter, and Claire. Fletcher is the only home they've ever known, and ensuring it remains a safe, supportive, and thriving place for families like ours is at the heart of why I'm running.
My involvement in our community really deepened during my 2021 campaign for Fletcher Town Council. That experience gave me the opportunity to speak directly with residents, hear their concerns, and better understand where our town is thriving and where it needs stronger leadership. It strengthened my commitment to transparency, accessibility, and practical problem-solving.
Since then, I've continued to stay engaged in service-focused roles. I serve as treasurer for our local youth baseball and softball program, helping ensure the league remains affordable and accessible for families. I've also been active in broader community efforts, including volunteer work and local advocacy that keeps me closely connected to the needs of Fletcher families.
These experiences have reinforced my belief that good local leadership starts with knowing your community well, listening thoughtfully, and showing up consistently, not just during an election year, but every year.
My professional experience has also shaped my commitment to our town. In my years working alongside municipal governments and community stakeholders, I've seen firsthand how thoughtful planning, transparent budgeting, and long-term vision can strengthen a community, and how the opposite can hold it back. That perspective motivates me to bring practical, steady leadership to Fletcher.
More than anything, I want Fletcher to continue being a place where families feel supported, where local government is accessible and accountable, and where our decisions reflect the future we want for our children. The choices we make today determine the kind of town they will inherit tomorrow.
If elected, I will approach every decision with integrity, transparency, and a focus on what benefits the entire community, not just the loudest voices or the easiest path. Public office is a responsibility, not a platform, and doing the right thing for Fletcher will always come before personal interests or politics.
